I seem to have burnt through my daily log limit in just 3 backtests. I was looking at the premium tiers to increase my log limit. I saw that the Researcher plan has a 100 KB daily log limit and costs $8 per user/month. But, when I click choose tier button, I suddenly have to shell out at least $48 and pay for a live node and a research node that I don't want.
Is there a way to buy individual nodes? I would especially like to buy more log storage space. I don't need additional compute power or live nodes (yet).

Sameer,
I too would like to know the answer. I am not ready for live trading but would like to have enough backtesting capability to not had to wait 10 minutes for a backtest to end it lucky. I have sent two emails to Quantconnect contact me page over the last two weeks no reply when i get one i will pass along.

Have you noticed the "Build Your Own Pack" button in the upper right corner?
There you can customize your pack (incl. removing nodes for live trading).

Arthur,
I completely missed that. So for a rookie like me would you say 1 or 2 backtesting node and a 1 research should work. Not ready for live trading
Thanks much appreciated!

I feel you can't really do without a backtesting node. I've started with one of the smaller nodes. You may need a bigger one if you're keeping a lot more data in memory. Or two if you're running multiple backtests simultaneously. A research node, well, it depends on what you're doing in your research environment. Are you just exploring the platform, which is what I've been doing with my notebooks, or are you building say ML models? It looks like you can add more nodes etc. as you discover limits in what you want to do. It's nice that you can grow into the platform as your needs grow.
It also looks like if you're working with others you can share research and backtest nodes. Most of my time is spent writing code, and not actually using the backtest node. So one node might work really well for two users. Not clear if it is possible or sensible to share a live trading node.
