I am using quantconnect in live paper trading of FX for a project in a graduate international economics course. Is there a way to change the Paper Trading Equity to 10000 instead of 100000?

I'm having a similar issue. I've called both SetCash and (after reading this) Portfolio.SetCash in my Initialize method, and it still shows $100k Equity.

I'm having the same issue. Used Porfolio.SetCash(25000); and it still defaults to $100,000. Portfolio.SetCash(25000); is in the Initialize method.

Its not a bug its a feature by design :) But we can consider a work around for people who don't want it.
The idea was so paper trading deployments maintained the same cash balance between deployments -- starting at $100k. It lets you treat paper trading like a real live algorithm -- if you drop $15k in paper trading the next deployment will start at $85k.

Oh, I see. I didn't know it would carry between deployments. Thank you!
I have worked around it already by setting my setholdings % to trade the amount necessary off of 100k anyway. It would be nice to have the option to reset to any value though.
