While it will likely be some time before I attempt to start a fund myself, it is never too early to explore the various fund structures for an ATS. I enjoy the idea of allowing smaller investors to get some out of the underperforming fund realm, but on the other side I worry that the management of smaller investors would become too time consuming. What type of fund have you established and how have you balanced the management of clients/partners?
I know Jared, the CEO of QC, started this project as an ATS fund and I'm sure there are others with similar backgrounds. Would like to your experience and insights.
