Hello Rob,
Downloadable logs are available for both backtest and live accounts. We could not reproduce the issue you stated. Could you please share a backtest for us to better understand it?
Best,

Thank you for responding.
Until yesterday, it was consistently failing. Now it has suddenly started working on a backtest script that was unchanged since it failed.
My suspicion is that there is an intermittent problem.
Thank you also for assuring me that the logging facility is available and if logging fails again I will provide you with the script.
Kind Regards
Rob

Here is a script that failed. The log file was 204 bytes long and contained only the message stating the limits on space usage.

Here is a script that succeeded. It is an earlier backtest of the same script and the script was not changed between the 2 runs.
The log file is 1182 bytes long and an extract is here :

Hello Rob,
From the last backtest there’s a message
“You currently have a maximum of 10kb of log data per backtest, and 3072kb total max per day. Please upgrade your account and contact us to request more allocation here: https://www.quantconnect.com/contact”.
There are daily logging limits, so it’s recommended to log change events. Please don't log price data.
Best,
