Sorry to commit thread necromancy, but has this changed at all?

Yes, there were changes.
We can run algorithms written in Python in QuantConnect, but there is no support for python libraries other than the standard lib, because we are using IronPython to enable python on our C# infrastructure.
Since we do want users to use python scientific libraries (numpy, scipy, etc), we have created a page on the github project/issue page to discuss and develop a new solution.

Great, is there any documentation for basic things like indicators, universes, events, and orders? I remember the documentation sayiing the only even python can access is the slice event?
