Hi,
I've been trying to find tutorials for running back tests in anaconda / Spyder but can't really find any. Is it supported and is it faster than using the online terminal? What about data, is the same data accessible?

The readme in our repo provides instructions to get a local python algorithm running with Anaconda. Depending on the hardware used, it may or may not be faster than using the online terminal.
In regards to data sources, we are able to provide FX and CFD for free to download through the Data Library. Cryptocurrency data is available for sale, but because of other data provider restrictions we are not able to resell Equity, Futures or Options data. When downloading data from QuantConnect we just ask a small fee to cover the bandwidth cost. I recommend watching our new YouTube video on how this can be done: How to Use the Data Explorer. Additionally, consider using the API File Provider instead of manually downloading all the data from Data Library.
Lastly, it is possible to develop locally while backtesting on our servers by using Skylight. It simply syncs our local development files with the project files on our QC accounts. Get more info about it from our blog post: A New Era For Desktop Algorithmic Trading.
