Saw "How to Code Locally with Skylight", but I'm unable to run Skylight_v0.1.10.AppImage for LinuxMint by ticking "Allow executing file as program" by double-clicking or opening the file. Nothing happens".
Running in terminal gives the following -
$ ./Skylight_v0.1.10.AppImage
2020-05-05T13:44:11.667Z TRACE:: Main(): Starting Skylight v0.1.10 (production)
(electron) The default value of app.allowRendererProcessReuse is deprecated, it is currently "false". It will change to be "true" in Electron 9. For more information please check https://github.com/electron/electron/issues/18397
Checking for update
Please advise.

I don't know libappindicator1. But it's not installed.
Thanks, Dave

Hi Gerardo,
I have same error but skylight is installed.
libappindicator1 is already the newest version (12.10.1+20.04.20200408.1-0ubuntu1).
Ubuntu 20.04 Linux 5.4.0-33-generic #37-Ubuntu SMP Thu May 21 12:53:59 UTC 2020 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Desktop Environment GNOME Shell 3.36.2
I found toolbar icon of Skylight and working folder.
Sync works fine.
No application icon was created
Thanks in advance
Gerardo Salazar
Hello,
DaveGilbert I managed to reproduce the issue and also find a temporary workaround. Please make sure libappindicator1 is installed. Then, enable the following setting in system settings: "System Settings" -> "General" -> "Enable support for indicators". You'll need to restart your desktop environment or reboot your machine for the settings to be enabled. Afterwards, try re-opening Skylight and the icon should appear. Side note: it seems that there's an open PR meant to fix this issue in the Electron repo: https://github.com/electron/electron/pull/23674
Fabio Riva This is a known issue on Linux, and we're working on a solution. Thank you for the report, it is very much appreciated.
