Hi,
I'm developing local with Visual Studio .
I cloned LEAN from Github and was able to run an algorithm.
What I'm missing is how to create a detailed report of the Algorithm.
Here
https://www.quantconnect.com/tutorials/open-source/lean-report-creatorit is described how to run CreateLeanReport.py, but I don't see this python file anywhere.
I found out that ..\Lean\Report\bin\DebugĀ there is an executable called QuantConnect.Report.exe.
Is this now the right way to generate reports?
Any help much appreciated.

Hi Juergen ReissĀ ,
Thank you for the report.
We have created a GitHub issue for the needed update.
The procedure is quite simple: rename from config.example.json to config, json, change the keys accordingly and run the executable.

Hi Derek,
Ā Ā
Ā Ā Ā Sorry for the late reply, it is unclear to me what might be the reason for such error, after some research, I found that it might be the matplot version that could be causing this error, although I have updated to the prespecified library version but still receiving the error, so a hint from you on which package I should investigate will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Essam,
We were not able to reproduce this error. To assist with the investigation, here is a list of all the libraries and their versions required to run LEAN.

Hi Derek,
Thanks very much for your reply, after investigation, I have found the error to be due to a different matplot version, I have aligned it with the lean library version, it worked
Thanks again

Just an update to this thread. We released a product called the LEAN CLI for helping set up and easily use most of LEAN features via docker. You can see the full docs for generating reports with thisĀ tool here.Ā
It has a site dedicated to it:Ā
