Hello,
First I'm french so sorry my english may not be so good but I'll do my best.
So I'm developing an algorithm in Python and I was thinking that it would be great if we could code in the IDE of our choice (using quantconnect python api to get autocompletion and doc), push (post) the code to an endpoint and then use QC web app to backtest and analyze results.
Because honestly I'm not a big fan of the web IDE and given that I'm a Linux user it could be a good alternative of building the Lean engine locally.
Btw thanks for this amazing platform!

I prefer using Visual Studio, for now, it is not a big hassle to cut and paste for now. Ideally, we should have some mechanism like GIT Checkin and clone.

A git support would be indeed ideal but it's more complex to implement that why I thought about remote editing through a rest api.
I'm using VS Code for my part, if there was a remote edit feature on QC I would create a task that would deploy the updated code with a python script.
