Sorry seems like a simple question; but when you plot a stock using the QC terminal are you plotting the close or the open or the mid or what..?
I am manually calculating the close each period for other purposes, so would have expected the line of my manually calculated close to be the same as the stock plot but they are different.
Even for GOOGL they are slightly different. Can someone please explain?
Thank you!

Hi Hugo,
The stockplot plots the Close price at the relevant frequency. However, it plots the most recent available TradeBar and so it is delayed by one period relative to the plot that you're creating. The issue with GOOG specifically is that GOOGL isn't available to be plotted in stockplot and so it is GOOG that is being plotted. You can see an example of this one-day lag in the backtest I've attached below, and there is more information about this in this forum post.

OK great - thanks a lot that helps. So just to clarify: why isnt GOOGL available to be plotted and GOOG is a stock that is something other than Google - correct..? (Well, alphabet but you know what I mean)
Thanks!

GOOG and GOOGL swapped ticker names a while ago and there was a shuffle with how Google/Alphabet trade. Since GOOG was the original ticker listed, we use that one for Google/Alphabet historical plot.
