Hi Ted,
I'm interested in co-creating one or more algorithms/frameworks together if it would lead to something eventually. I have access to a company, the legal technicalities, and even some funding if we manage to do it.
I have a strong background in fundamental investing (+20 years) and some background in trading. I also can code basic things in C# but I tend to code mostly in Python over here. I've worked for 5 investment-related companies, mostly as an analyst.
I consider myself a rookie on QuantConnect as I'm only backtesting ideas here for about a month now.
My best idea so far backtested a promising 14,000% during a 16-year timeframe. Unfortunately, when I added slippage into the algo, the alpha was almost completely gone... So I'm heading back to the drawing board. Below's a screenshot of the idea before I added the slippage.
