Hi,
I'm thinking about whether it would be worth spending the time to build brokerage support for IG Markets. I'm using them as my main broker and they're more reputable and cheaper than the FX brokers QC currently offers.
They have a REST and Streaming API available (https://labs.ig.com/) as well as a C# wrapper (
). How do I stop the forums from automatically inserting this big blob of nothingness next to each link, by the way?!
My questions are whether a) someone is already working on this and b) the expected man hours involved in building out barebones, basic support for this (let's say only market orders for now)? I would love to work on this but I'm afraid it'll take me too much time that should be spent building the algorithm.

It is roughly 200 hours of work. We sponsor up to $5,000 for complete brokerage implementations of leading brokerages as defined by all the pieces of the brokerage development guide. IG qualifies if they have streaming order event as you've mentioned.

i also use IG as my main broker and i use their REST and streaming API to trade on my demo account.
I am very new to QC and i would definitely love brokerage support for IG. I am very busy but maybe if adding brokerage support is something i can help with then i think i am willing to help because i guess it goes faster if we do it together but honestly since i am very new to QC i don't really know exactly what adding brokerage support specifically means xD. Does it mean extending your open source implementation of the Lean engine or something? Anyway i am interested in this. Let me know if you are going through with this. greetings

The best way to make this happen is to petition IG. Hopefully, they see enough users who want IG to reach out and make it happen.
