Hi,
I am trying to codw the functionality where the algorithm stops trading 15 min in advance of a news event. I've populated a custom data source with the news event. So in the OnData function how I get the data for a particular source that is forward in time wrt to the current slice being processed, in case that information exists?

To get the data in advance is impossible in QC to prevent look ahead bias. But you could add another data stream - say "New Event Warnings" which occur in advance of pre-planned events. Just make sure you are only working from events which are pre scheduled.
