Never mind solved my initial issue. I came to the realization that dictionaries set in the built in initialize method are "read only". So what I did was create the dictionary in def__int__(self) so that I could later store the amount of days each security was in the portfolio. Another user gave me the idea on how to store the duration. I just initially didn't realize I was setting the dictionary to “ready only” by putting it in the built in initialize method.
