I want to use Quantconnect with my IBKR account, if I want to practise option trading manually on the side, do I need a separate IBKR account or can I log in at the same time?

To use QuantConnect with your IBKR account and practice option trading manually on the side, you do not need a separate IBKR account. However, IBKR only supports one connection at a time to your account. If you want to manually trade while an algorithm is connected to your IBKR account through QuantConnect, you should create a second user on your IBKR account and log in with those credentials. This setup allows you to manually trade and run your algorithm in parallel without interference.
