Main Idea
This algorithm trades the NASDAQ 100 E-mini futures using the High Volume Node (HVN) trading strategy. It identifies HVNs as key support or resistance levels based on concentrated trading volume over a 2-hour period. The algorithm enters long positions when the price retraces to these HVNs and shows upward momentum, determined by analyzing the slope of recent price movements. Stop losses are dynamically managed based on recent lows to protect against adverse price changes, ensuring strategic and risk-managed trading.

If you check the trading schedule for January 16th, 2023, you'll see that CME had an early market halt at 12:00 PM CST (1:00 PM EST).

As shown in the AMP Futures reference image, the equity market halted trading at 12:00 noon CST (1:00 PM EST), which aligns with our recorded data, which is in EST (New York Time Zone)
Here's an excerpt from the MQN futures data on QuantConnect trading on CME on 01/16/2023:
Meanwhile, COMEX was fully closed on this date in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 16, 2023), so it's expected that no data is available for COMEX on that day.
Additionally, any pre-open session activity on the COMEX exchange is attributed to the trade date of the next open session. So in this case, any trades that occurred during the pre-open on the 16th would be recorded under January 17th.
This is a recurring pattern seen on several U.S. bank holidays—CME typically observes a shortened trading session with an early halt around noon, while COMEX remains closed for the full day.
