Hi there,
I fail to deploy an algo for US equities on a account where I am holding long terms bonds. The algo raises the following error:
During the algorithm initialization, the following exception has occurred: Error connecting to brokerage: InteractiveBrokersBrokerage.MapSymbol(): Failed to convert contract for SRE; Contract description: BOND SRE USD 20521115 0 0. How to deploy an equities algo when bonds are already held independently in account ?

Hi Sebastien,
The error you're encountering is due to the fact that QuantConnect's live trading engine does not support live trading with unsupported assets on the portfolio. In your case, the long term bonds you're holding in your account are not supported, and this is causing the error during the algorithm initialization.
As a workaround, you can deploy your algorithm to live trading using a separate brokerage account or subaccount that does not have existing positions. This is recommended to avoid deviations between backtesting and live trading, as the live trading equity curve reflects your existing positions, but the backtesting curve won't.
