Hi Guys, simple question. Has anyone ever implemented Point and Figure based charting for Algorithmic Trading in QuantConnect?? I saw an old discussion 10 years ago where it was not available but maybe things have changed.

QC has always supported high flexibility of development. Chart-base trading itself is very subjective on traders, and does not have strict rules. It is the complete opposite of the ideas of quantitative or algorithmic trading. So, I would say before computer vision technology gets mature, it is kind of difficult to implement in a quantitative sense, with or without QC.Â
We do have a simple example on pattern recognition that you can start with: Head & Shoulders TA Pattern Detection by Derek Melchin - QuantConnect.com. You may implement your own pattern, and use a better pattern recognition logic (e.g. using transformer network).
