Recently in the "live deploy" tab , there has been an option added to choose which data provider to use. Does anyone know why this was added and what difference does it make in a live deploy? I use Kraken as my exchange. The default option for the data provider is the “Quantconnect” which seems to connect fine. However, when I choose the Kraken data provider it gives an error of unknown asset pair. Did anyone face this?

The option to choose a data provider was added to give users more flexibility in sourcing data for their algorithms. The data provider you choose will supply real-time market data to your algorithm during live execution. This data is essential for making real-time trading decisions and updating the values of the securities in your portfolio in real-time. You can source data from QuantConnect, your brokerage, or a third-party source source.
The error you're encountering when choosing Kraken as your data provider might be due to an unsupported asset pair. It's important to note that all fiat and Crypto currencies are individual assets in QuantConnect. When you buy a pair like BTCUSD, you're trading USD for BTC. LEAN removes some USD from your portfolio and adds some BTC. The virtual pair BTCUSD represents your position in that trade, but the virtual pair doesn't actually exist. It simply represents an open trade source.
