We're happy to announce a new AI Quant Support Agent named Mia, powered by hundreds of research articles, open-source code examples, and almost 1,000 pages of QuantConnect documentation.
We finished the thrust of our new documentation in July last year, shipping 910 pages of new documentation and covering 5,600 different topics. The vast amount of documentation was an intimidating resource for new users and went unread due to its size. We needed to make this easier to digest.
AI LLMs (Large Language Models) provide an excellent vehicle to explore this content and get relevant information promptly. We've given a human face to the agent, named Mia. Mia has been live in the public forums and our Discord channel for the last month, answering support questions. We have seen roughly 75% of the questions answered successfully within 2-3 minutes, and we'll continue monitoring to improve its omissions.
As a quant, context switching from coding to reading docs or forums can drag you from the flow of your work. To help with this, we've built a panel directly into the Algorithm Lab called "Ask Mia." This is a private, context-sensitive chat room with a dedicated AI agent. Is your code failing to build? Simply asking, "What's wrong" sends a sample of the code and the build errors to Mia for a quick code fix suggestion. Are backtest runtime errors not making sense? With minimal effort, Mia can interpret and give potential fixes based on the runtime error. Getting quick answers to questions and resuming your work will keep you in the flow and more productive.
The Ask Mia panel is available for all user types on the Cloud and Local platforms. Free users are capped to 5 questions per month, while the Bronze support tier has 25, Silver includes 125, and Gold has 250. We're proud to continue adding value to our existing products and reduce the learning curve for building your quantitative trading strategy.
Happy Coding!
Michael
This is amazing! I've been using chatgpt when I get stuck on quant connect specific code and it usually gets it wrong. Thank you!

Great job Jared & team!

A great surprise addition! Was only just thinking how much faster it would be to work with an LLM that can review your code in context. Great to see QC keeping on top of the latest advancements.

I have a bronze support seat. I don't see any panel for Ask Mia in my Algorithm Lab. Logging out and in again didn't help. Opening or closing projects didn't help.
Is there anything I need to do to enable this panel?
Or, has it's deployment been delayed?
Either way, nice to see advanced AI coming to Quantconnect!

I still don't see that panel either.
I'm a paying user, but I don't have Bronze support, is there a tier for that?

hi,
I'm a big fan of LLM based support (heck, ChatGPT is a permanent companion when I code as I constantly look up python syntax and ask for coding suggestions…).
So to no surprise I've fairly quickly reached the 25 questions in the Bronze tier.
Can I just ask:
- How are the 25/month being refreshed? In one go once a new month starts or as a rolling window? (I hope it's the latter)
- Does every prompt in the ‘Ask Mia’ tab count against the 25 or is it ticket style, where a number of further interactions are possible until the matter and this ‘ticket’ counts as one question against the quota?

I'm a brand new user still evaluating this platform. I'm trying to wrap my head around the AI having a limited number of “asks”. I'm writing sample pieces of code to learn the system and the “Ask Mia” button shows up everywhere. Am I understanding that I can only click that button 25 times a month (Bronze level)? That seems insane. When I'm diving into a new topic, I have conversations with ChatGPT that generate more than 25 “requests” in an hour. Isn't that the purpose of an LLM bot - to be able to drill down into a topic and gain a deeper understanding than pouring over pages of help manuals? I love how Mia can see the context of my question AND is up-to-date on the newest documentation, but I'm not sure how valuable it is if I have to be careful to only press that button 1 time a day.
