Hi,
are there any of you based in Europe and trading Forex with QuantConnect? I have used the following brokers in the past for this:
- OANDA
- FXCM
Unfortunately, in Europe, it's no longer possible to use the "normal" OANDA API because all customers were forced to switch to "OANDA TMS", a Polish broker acquired by the OANDA Group that does not provide an API.
FXCM support was discontinued by QuantConnect a few years ago.
That leaves only Interactive Brokers for me. I have been a customer there for a long time, however, I can only trade Forex via Cash Security Type there, as the CFD Security Type is not supported by QuantConnect. For the Cash Security Type, however, I currently have too little capital.
As far as I can see at the moment, there are no alternatives left, right?
Please correct me if I'm wrong on one or more points.

You're correct that QuantConnect provides live trading support for OANDA, but I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're facing with the "OANDA TMS" in Europe. As for FXCM, you're also correct that QuantConnect discontinued support for it a few years ago.
Regarding Interactive Brokers, it's true that QuantConnect currently supports Forex trading via the Cash Security Type. If you're unable to use this due to capital constraints, it might indeed limit your options.
As for OANDA, it's worth noting that QuantConnect's integration with OANDA supports Forex and CFD trading, as mentioned in the OANDA documentation. However, the specific issue with "OANDA TMS" might be something you'd need to discuss directly with OANDA.
