Hello all,
I am new to quantitative analysis/trading but am very interested in learning how to combine my knowledge of finance with programming. I am a senior in college and have been studying the financial markets for a couple years now and have a good grasp on technical and fundamental analysis, but do not have much/any experience with computer programming. I was wondering what would be the best place for me to start as I have researched a couple of the languages that are used in quant analysis and am overwhelmed with the choices.
Any advice is greatly apreciated.

I would advice you to be pragmatic: do you want to see your algorithms running in a cloud within weeks/months? If so, it may not be a very a good idea to choose R (despite its great tools for quant analysis), C++ or Java. Thus, the choices narrow to C# and Python.
QuantConnect natively supports C# and we are working to improve support for Python. Please checkout our documentation and QuantConnect Unversity examples.
