Hi,
I am just getting started and are still on the free plan. Since I am an absolute newbie in QuantConnect I need to run every backtest a number of times before all errors are found. Even though I am on a free plan, if I look under “Pricing”, I see that I have an unlimited number of backtests. Whenever I start a backtest, in the results page I see a counter counting down how many backtests I have still available. How is this possible if I have an unlimited number of backtests?

I noticed this as well, I am on a research plan. I think it might be more about running too many backtests might be an indication that your algorithm is over-fitted. Anyone from QuantConnect, can you help answer?
Li Cheng
Hi Melanie and Seth,
Seth's answer is correct, we can run an unlimited number of backtests on one algorithm or with one backtest node, the counter is there as an indication of how many backtests we ran and allows us to gauge whether our algorithm is over-fitted.
Best regards
