Hi,
What is the recommended way of adding ETF data? In terms of the data structure they are the same as equities thus `AddEquity()` works. Also couldn't see any info in the below source about any recommendation.
Note: I am using local data with local LEAN engine
Any info is appreciated!

Hi nottakumasato , AddEquity doesn't work with the ETF you are looking for? I think just download the data using lean cli or use --download-data with the “lean backtest” command would do it no?

Non Compete Backtest with AddEquity works but I wasn't sure if I should use a CustomData class since it isn't exactly equity? Like an equity doesn't have a fee but an ETF does. I was just wondering if there was a specific class for ETFs, but it seems AddEquity() suffice for most use-cases.

Hi Nottakumasato and Non Compete
ETF shall be treated the same as Equity. The trading fee, hour, exchange, rules, margin and structure (backed by actual security assets) of the two are nearly identical, except ETFs do not have fundamentals. The management fee which you’re concerning are not deducted from your account directly, but from the ETF portfolio itself. So, the ETF price has already reflected that.
