I've been trying out the Lean CLI, but can't figure out how to view the backtests in the research environment.
I've got the research environment working, per the documentation at:
https://www.quantconnect.com/docs/v2/lean-cli
But, it's not clear how to view the results of a backtest from there, and I haven't seen anything in the forums either. Any advice?

Hi Shaun,
If you execute the backtest in the cloud, you can use ReadBacktest to get the backtest result. If you execute the backtest on your local machine, the backtest results are stored in the JSON file in your <projectName>/backtests/<timestamp> directory. To be notified when the ReadBacktest method is available for local backtests, subscribe to GitHub Issue #6775.
Best,
Derek Melchin

iv been working on a viz tool for local backtest data. Theres currently no way to summarize it besides loading the json locally. You can also use https://github.com/QuantConnect/lean-cli#lean-report to get the summary report, and maybe you can upload the algo to the Cloud Quantconnect and run a backtest to get the other backtest charts there. Check out my work. You can turn off/ on backtests. Here “random 6” and “random 7” are the results of backtests. The Custom Stats are daily stats for that security which aren't anywhere I can find in the backtest json but i keep track of during the backtest.

OK, thanks. This is tremendously helpful, and your viz tool is amazing!
