Hello,
I'd like to know if its possible to use a docker container, that is not on the local machine but instead running on the network. I do all my development in a virtual machine, where I can't use docker since it doesn't support nested virtualization.
What I could do is however spin up another virtual machine exclusively for docker but I'm missing the knowledge where to tell lean to look for docker on the network, or is that even possible?
Kind regards
Derek Melchin

Hello,
thanks for opening that issue! So I take it that so far its not possible to change a variable somewhere from localhost:port to otherip:port? I guess its not that easy since also when one runs the lean backtest command and if no image is found yet, it downloads it and sets everything up for the container to run and that would be different with a remote docker?
Just speculating because I don't really know how it works in the background, its just that using LEAN CLI seems alot simpler generally and more supported than using LEAN without Docker, so I'd prefer to use it that way.
Kind regards

Hi VizTra,
Correct.
Correct.
The LEAN CLI looks for a local container, so the GitHub Issue will add a feature to look for it in the network.
