I'm wondering why anyone would choose IBKR vs Tradier for trading equities intraday. The fees for IBKR using QuantConnect are “$0.005/share with a $1 minimum fee and a 0.5% maximum fee" – meanwhile Tradier is free. Does IBKR have faster execution? Better fills? More stocks and shares available for shorting? Especially for an intraday strategy making several hundred trades a month the fees for IBKR add up to a lot. I backtested an intraday strategy with IBKR's fee structure and it was -3% for August, with fees being -11% 🌬️. Thanks.
