when I run the research.ipynb pad, it always shows "select kernel for the project"
I don't understand what is it and how to solve the issue.

Yeah, you should select a Python Kernel from the list.

I am aware this is thread is a while back. However, I am having relatively same issue. Mine is that I do not have any kernels to select from.
