Self-taught python coder here and clueless on some of the things I am trying out:
What exactly does data resolution means? I have been reading through the documentations and still not getting it. Take for example, what difference do the following resolutions make when utilized within an algorithm
self.rsi = algo.RSI(symbol, 10, Resolution.Daily) #Daily resolution
self.rsi = algo.RSI(symbol, 10, Resolution.Hour) # Hourly resolution
self.rsi = algo.RSI(symbol, 10, Resolution.Minute). #Minute resolution
Now, if you find yourself wanting to laugh at my question, I will help you laugh at myself :), but will appreciate adding some knowledge on this

Hi Lemuel,
Data resolution is really the period of time covered by each “bar”. Bars are essentially a summary of transactions ("ticks") that occurred during a period of time. THAT period of time is the “resolution”.
So 1 minute = the summary is over 1 minute : what was the price of the first transaction of that minute? open, what was the highest price during that minute? high, what was the lowest? low, what was the last? close.
Same for hour, same for daily.
So, 10 x resolution.minute = 10 minutes = you want an RSI calculated using the last 10 minutes of data. (or 10 hours, or 10 days). Note that 10 minutes will use 10 x 1 minute bar. 10 hours could use 10 x 1 hour bars but also 10 x 60 x 1 minute bars…
