I Assume that more nodes would allow the back-test to run faster. The free plan has 1; Research has 2 and Team has 10.
If my assumption is correct, please explain the code gain's speed. Log notation would be fine if that's easier.

Very easy here even without log notation 😊.
You can run one backtest per node at a time.
1 node = 1 backtest at a time
2 nodes = 2 backtests at a time
…

Backtest nodes with more CPU will run backtests faster. Backtest nodes with more RAM will be able to manage more data per backtest (for instance, bigger Universes).
Now, giving more detail about the gains in backtesting re CPU and RAM would certainly be much more complex than log notation.
