Hey guys, I'm having a bit of hard time fixing this:
Algorithm.Initialize() Error: InteractiveBrokersBrokerage.CheckIbAutomaterError(): ExistingSessionDetected - An existing session was detected and will not be automatically disconnected. Please close the existing session manually. Stack Trace: InteractiveBrokersBrokerage.CheckIbAutomaterError(): ExistingSessionDetected - An existing session was detected and will not be automatically disconnected. Please close the existing session manually.I'm not logged in with TWS or anywhere else.
The only connection I've established was thru a single QC live node.
Am I missing any termination button? Or what's the procedure here?

Quick update.
I've found a way to disconnect, but it's very DYO:
I've cloned the project, deleted the original version and lunched the cloned onto the live node. That worked.
I'm sure you guys have a more “professional” way to deal with this?

Thank you for the report.
Apparently, when we terminate the live algorithm by either clicking on Liquidate or Stop, the connection to IB via IB Gateway that has been opened takes some time to close and/or communicate to IB servers that it was closed. Because of that, a quick (re)deployment fails with that error message.
We are aware of the issue, which is recent, and are working on a solution.
Your workaround is fine, but you will lose the track record of the algorithm.

The latest comment above which was provided by QuantConnect in January 2022 indicated that you are working on a solution. However, almost two years later I am experiencing the same issue today. Any update on this? thank you.

We have pushed an improvement for IB Gateway shutdown. If anyone experiences this issue again, please contact support sharing their project that reproduced the bug.
