I am receiving a ‘Runtime Error: ZeroDivisionError : float division by zero’ error on my new algo even though I've modified the trade logic to account for this. Any advice is much appreciated.

Hi James,
Hmmm. I just cloned your code, executed and I don't get any runtime errors. My bet: floating point error plays tricks with you.
Do you consistently have an error? And if so, which line? (A1.Value - D1.Value) or (A2.Value - D2.Value)?
Since that issue seems to pop up, I would replace 0 by some value close to 0 which will play as your tolerance. Like 0.00015 or something. You would consider that as 0 (close enough to 0 so it is 0 for you). So you would test if the difference is greater than that tolerance value. 0.0 has multiple (inaccurate) representations (just like all other float computations) in IEEE floating point (read in computers).

Hi Gianluca
Mind attaching a backtest/code snippets for further check up?

Hi James, how did you solve this issue? I am also getting divide by zero issue below for deviation calculation
