I've been searching for topic regarding whether we can type math equation using markdown in research book, but couldn't find any info.
Just wondering is it allowed to type the math equation in markdown in the research book so that I could use it as a note to jog down the related math equation?
Thank you.

Research is in Jupyter Notebooks, so just select a cell, press Esc > M (switch the cell to Markdown) > type some markdown (. $x=5$ ) > Ctrl + Enter (execute the cell)
