For a client I have in Hong Kong I would like to ask you some informations:
1) He's a HK resident and has a HK Interactive Brokers account. Can he live trade with it?
Can he live trade just U.S. instruments or even Hong Kong ones?
In particular he would like to trade this instrument in particular :
999000 HSI Futures CurrentHe told me that he has some friends in HK that actively use QuantConnect and IB to trade, tough I am not sure if they are HK IB accounts or not....
2) What's the cheapest option for him to rent a live trading node?
I mean does he need to buy a custom researcher option (48 USD per month) or are there cheaper options?

$28 is the cheapest for just live trading, (Researcher seat + 1 micro live node)

Sorry for the delay yes there are many HK users! They can trade all supported asset types and data on QC; US Equities, Futures, Options etc. HK users have stricter 2FA requirements from Interactive Brokers so its slightly more annoying running live algorithms (daily 2FA at the moment) but it works =)Â
