Hello,
For some time I have been trying to get this very simple algo to work. I have no problem to get it to work with candlestick patterns which use only one candle (like doji) but when they use more (such as harami) it does not work.
What am I missing?

Hi Tristan VDBÂ ,
I think that the Harami pattern is not observed very frequently.
I attached a backtest using SPY and daily-resolution Harami to show that the indicator does not return zero all the time,

You were absolutely right. I tested it with multiple patterns. It is working but some patterns are indeed very rare.
